Angelina "Angie" Elliott

July 18, 1938 - December 26, 2021

Angelina “Angie” Elliott (nee Magdaleno), age 83, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy Regional Medical Center on Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was born on July 18, 1938 in Lorain where she lived until she and her husband, Frank, moved the family to Vermilion, where she ended up living most of her life. Years later, she moved to California for a bit before returning back to Lorain about a year ago. Angie and her late husband, Frank, were married in 1956 at Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, and ended up having 9 children together. Early on, they were members of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church because that was where their children went to school, until they moved to Vermilion, becoming members of St. Mary’s, Vermilion. Most recently, Angie was a member of St. Joseph Church, Amherst, where she always appreciated the visits from the church and the Eucharistic Ministers who would bring her communion. Angelina was a people lover. She was always friendly, outgoing, and caring, taking special care by looking out for her neighbors. She and Frank enjoyed taking their young family on vacations to Cedar Point, but once the kids were grown, they enjoyed traveling to California and Colorado. Angelina was a great baker and also enjoyed sewing and knitting. And, as a woman of strong and devout faith, she always loved to pray the Rosary. She is survived by her sons; Floyd F., II (Lisa), of Wakeman, Daniel M., of Lorain, Brian C. (Melissa), of Lorain, Charles C.F. (Stephanie), of NC, daughters; Debbie A. (Al) Geason, of Sandusky, Cheryl L. (Tim) Isenberg, of IL, Monica R. (Jeff) Wawczak, of IL, and Polly (Brain) Ferry, of Elyria, her 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, siblings; Margaret Alvarez, of CA, Angelo (Nancy) Magdaleno, of CA, Robert Magdaleno, of Lorain, Manuel (Karen) Magdaleno, of CA, and Herman (Lois) Magdaleno, of AZ, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Frank Elliott, a son, Matthew S., her parents; Rosalio & Dolores (nee Sevella) Magdaleno, sisters; Amparo Serrano, Cathleen Harsar, Dolores Ramirez, Esther Carreon, Gloria Gallegos and Mary Sanchez, and a brother, Rosalio Magdaleno, Jr. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral Mass at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Fr. Timothy J. O’Connor, Pastor, will officiate. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
