Anita Farr-Flickinger Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anita Farr-Flickinger, age 56, of Lorain, formerly of Fremont, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph. She was born on February 18, 1966 in Fremont, Ohio and has lived in the Lorain County area since 1985. Anita graduated from Fremont Ross High School then after graduation from there, attended the Tiffin Academy of Hair Design with a Managing Cosmetologist License. With her license, she worked at the Cutting Edge Salon in South Amherst. Anita also has a Medical Assistant Degree from LCCC, and worked for the Tri City Medicine and Advance Neurologic Associates. Anita was such a people person and loved by many. She belonged to the Croatian Club where she was on the social committee helping with the fish fries and so many other fun things for the club to enjoy. She enjoyed throwing darts, cooking, garage sale shopping, and collecting old and seashore items. She is survived by her mother, Roberta Simko (nee Smith), of Oberlin, brother, Brian (Theresa) Farr, of Gibsonburg, OH, step-sisters; Shelene Aslaksen & Ondria Simko, both of Avon Lake, sister-in-law, Mary Sanabria-Simko, of Lorain, step-brothers; George Simko, of Las Vegas, NV, & Joseph Simko, of Avon Lake, and her very special love of her life, Cole. She was preceded in death by her father, R. Tim Farr, step-father, Dr. George Simko, and step-brother, David Simko. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
