Carmella Marie Wolfe

December 3, 1941 - March 19, 2022

Carmella Marie “Nana” Wolfe (nee Idoni), age 80, of Elyria, passed away at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, on Saturday, March 19, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1941 in Grafton, West Virginia and is a graduate of Grafton High School. Carmella moved to Lorain in 1970. She worked with direct patient care as a nurse’s aide, transporter, dispatcher amongst other jobs, at the former Lorain Community Hospital from 1970 until retiring in 1989. Carmella attended her church regularly and her most favorite thing to do in life was to be a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Carmella is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles L. Wolfe, children; Melody Jo (Bradley J.) Saegert (nee Idoni), of Lorain, Robert “Bob” (Diane) Wolfe, of Avon, and Ron (Anita) Wolfe, of Avon Lake, grandchildren; Jessica (Cory) Hall (nee Andrews) and David C. (Abigail) Andrews, of Vermilion. Granddaughter, Sarah (Josh) Henry (nee Wolfe) of Avon Lake, great grandchildren; Nevaeh Marie Bennett, Hope Carmella Hall, Jaycee Michele Hall, and Rily Nicole Hall, of Lorain and great granddaughter, Samantha and great grandson Cole Henry also from Avon Lake. Loving neice Sandie (Ken) Bennett (nee Idoni), Katelyn (Eric) Clark and children from Michigan. She was also excitedly awaiting for the arrival of a great grandchild in May and a great great grandson in July. She was preceded in death by her parents; Nicholas E. and Mary F. (Folio) Idoni as well as her siblings. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
