David Lee Moore

July 10, 1959 - January 18, 2022

David Lee Moore 62 years old, a lifetime resident of Lorain, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2022, after losing his battle with COVID. In David’s last days with breath in his lungs, he recommended that everyone be vaccinated. He is survived by his children, David Lee Moore Jr., Mason John-David Honnerman-Moore, Heaven Moore, Jamie Moore, Emma Moore, Betty Jo Kocak, Michael Kocak, and Jacob Tucker; mother and stepfather, Margaret, and Denver Casto; brothers and sisters, Priscilla (David) Berthold, Johnnie (Traci) Moore, Sherry Moore, Joe (Denise) Moore, Mary (Jane) Moore, George (Tiffany) Moore, Veronica Moore, Lisa (Steven) Hughes, Billie Moore, and Betsy Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Henry Moore, and his nephews, Travis, and Zachary Spurlock. David’s life was his kids and his family, when he wasn’t working you could see him running to get happy meals for his kids, whatever his kids wanted he made sure they had and happy. David served his country in the United States Army. David was a truck driver for Shagg’s Trucking. He was larger than life, his voice was unforgettable there was laughter any time he was in the room. His presence will be missed by so many, especially his children. He would bring ice cream cake to celebrate birthdays in our family, and he was always ready to feed someone. He enjoyed going to casinos. David was very proud of his sobriety for the past 13 years. Private family funeral services were held under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center. David’s cremains will be interred at Resthaven Memory Gardens with his father.
