Diane Gale (nee Falbo), age 66, of Vermilion passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 27, 2021, at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following complications from Covid-19. She was born on March 13, 1955 in Lorain, Ohio to Salvatore “Sam” and Ethel (nee Branham) Falbo and was one of seven siblings. Diane graduated from Lorain High School in 1973 and furthered her education at Lorain County Community College. She was employed at Terminal Ready Mix where she worked as a bookkeeper. She then worked at Berki Law Group until she retired to spend more time with her family. Diane’s main purpose in life was her loyalty to her family and friends. Family was her pride and joy and always came first. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play soccer and other sports. She loved living in the country, taking care of wildlife, and was very passionate about caring for her cats. Some of her hobbies were ceramics, baking for family gatherings, and sewing. Diane had a special love for sweets and traditional homemade dishes including her family spaghetti recipe and famous nut torte cake. She also enjoyed trips to Vegas and gambling. She was always one to voice her fierce political views. Diane will be remembered for having a heart of gold and being supportive and caring to her loved ones. Diane was a member of the Cat Allies. She donated to multiple organizations, including The Alzheimer’s Association, Mental Health America, American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She had a generous nature and was willing to give what she had to anyone in need. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, (partner of 41 years) John Gale; daughters, Angela (Michael) Raesler, Denise Dalton, and Jenifer (Douglas) Merrill; and her grandchildren, Madeline Dalton, Savanna Dalton, Jacob Raesler, Natalie Raesler, Isla Merrill, and Declan Merrill. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore “Sam” and Ethel Falbo; and siblings, Sam Falbo, Pasquale “Pat” Falbo, and Stanley Falbo. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, , from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at German’s Villa, 3330 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
