John J. Brletic, Jr., age 69, of Brownhelm Twp., passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1951 in Lorain, where he lived most of his life and is a 1969 graduate of Admiral King High School. He then furthered his education by going to Bowling Green State University for his undergraduate studies. From there, he went to Loyola University for his dissertation, finally returning to the Ohio State University for dental school. John had a successful dental practice in Lorain for over 30 years. When he wasn’t hard at work, he cherished his time spent with his family. He also loved to fish and garden. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (nee Berkebile), daughter, Melissa (Matthew) Ullom (nee Freeh) and their children, Kaden, Emilia, Beatrice, and Eloise, son, John, daughter, Chelsea (Nicholas) Stock, sister, Michelle (Sam) Dipre and their sons; Raymond and Sam, brother, Matthew (Jill) Brletic and their daughter, Maddie. He was loved and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents; John J. Sr. and Bernice (nee Schrenkel) Brletic, and sister, Janie. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 3 -7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, at 10:00 am, also in the funeral center. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, will follow his service. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
