Thomas Zajkowski

February 10, 1969 - April 10, 2022

Thomas Zajkowski born on February 10, 1969, of Raleigh, North Carolina and formerly of Lorain, Ohio passed away peacefully at 11:11 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at his brother’s home surrounded by his family and friends at the age of 53. He was a 1987 graduate of Lorain Admiral King and went on to further his education at Kent State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and from the University of Toledo where he earned his master’s degree in International Business. While attending Kent State University he was treasurer of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. Thomas made his career as finance executive in the areas of treasury, corporate finance, tax, risk management, accounting, and financial planning & analysis. He was a CPA and throughout his career served in the roles of Senior Vice President for INC Research, Senior Vice President with Syneos Health, Chief Financial Officer with BioAgilytix, and most recently served as Co-Founder, Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer of Thyme Capital Group, LLC. He loved traveling and had the amazing opportunity to travel to every continent other than Antarctica. As an avid Cleveland Browns fan, he would travel with his buddies to watch the Browns play their away games in numerous states. He enjoyed listening to music and snow skiing, traveling to Colorado and Utah. Thomas’s number one priority was his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed. Thomas is survived by his sons, Noah David Zajkowski, and Bennett Avery Zajkowski; parents, Thomas and Gloria (nee Williams) Zajkowski; brother, David (Beth (nee Benson)) Zajkowski; sister, Dana (Jason) Cortimilia; and his former spouse, the mother of his sons, Amy DeWinter; nephews, Carter Zajkowski, and Cole Zajkowski; and his niece, Olivia Cortimilia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Following the funeral service the family will have a celebration of life at the Amherst Eagles.
