Lisa, sorry to hear about your dad.
Lisa we are so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. It seems like yesterday when we were all swimming and boating at Mari-Dor Beach. I feel I grew up with Deb and you and enjoyed the times our families were together. I am sorry we just found out today because we would have come in person to express our sorrow. What a great life he had and like the movie "Its a Wonderful Life" I wonder if he had any idea how many lives he influenced through his store and then being a teacher and administrator. However I remember "Big Dad" the fun guy and what great fun he was.

I started working for Rennie just before my father was killed in an accident. I was 17 and suddenly lost. Rennie without effort came to my rescue and became a friend and mentor. I worked for him until I left in August of 58 to enter active duty in the US Navy. Even when home on leave it was important to see him and Jean for more lessons of life. I am in tears at the worlds loss.
Our prayers are with all of you in the passing of your father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. We were blessed to have spent a wonderful afternoon with him a few years ago. We loved his stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Kim & Wendell
Lisa & family, Please know that you all are in my prayers as you mourn for your father/grandfather. He was such a special man, and many, many former Willard teens had the opportunity to get to know him and love him. He always made everyone feel important. I spent many hours at Renne's drinking vanilla cokes, listening to music, and chatting with friends--it was the place to be! May God wrap his arms around all of you and keep you in His tender care. Keep your memories alive.
So sorry Derek for your loss, praying for you and your family!
Lisa- When I think of memories in Willard--Renna and the store always
come to mind. He always made each of us know we were special. Going up
to Renna's was the FUN part of living and growing up in Willard. We pray
for your loss-- he will always be remembered by many.
Lisa, this is about the saddest news we have heard in a long long time. Our deepest condolences to the loss of your father. Renne was a very dear friend and a second father to me, so ihave very similar feelings in my heart, too. Hope he did not suffer. We will pray for him, too. Love,Ronnie buss.
Dear Lisa and family, Our hearts are saddened at the loss of your father who was a friend to every "kid" that grew up spending counteless hours at Rennies in Willard. He treated each one of us as if we were his kid but we knew that you and Debby were his loves. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love your Dad and have so many wonderful memories that will last forever. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Rennie will forever live in the memories of hundreds and hundreds of Willard natives who grew up with Rennie and the Corner Drug Store !!!
Thanks for sharing your Dad with us.
