Stephen George Harasty Jr. (Pista), age 69, a lifelong resident of Lorain, lost his hard fought battle to cancer on Friday, October 12, 2012 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born on November 8, 1942 in Lorain, O Read Obituary

Dear Elaine and Family, we were saddened too hear of Stevie's death. We were on vacation when Marge called us and told us. We had just arrived in Virginia Beach to see our son, Little Jerry, who also remembered him very well, and liked him very much. The sad part is our lack of communication, and how sad that nobody on my end of the family knew. Thank goodness for Mary and Suzanne Kantak or we still wouldn't know. I am sorry he is gone and I know that you all miss him, as we do knowing that there is a "hole" in the family. I hope that we can get to communicate with each other , at least on facebook .
We are all truly sorry that Pista is gone , but there are so many good memories of him, his takes of hunting and his love of Hungary and its history. He will be missed even though we are away from Lorain. I hopethat you all are OK and can struggle through your loss. With much love to all of you. Rose and Jerry

Elaine,
I'm sure you don't remember me but we were in the Hungarian Dancing group together, I was about nine years old, and you and Steve just got engaged. I'll never forget the look of radiance on your face and most of all, seeing Steve give you a kiss! He looked like he was in heaven--as I'm certain he is now.
