Lucille Gasho (nee Johnson) age 104, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born November 14,1916 in Wadsworth, Ohio. She lived most of her life with her husband and four children in Parma Heights, Ohio. In 2008 she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law. In early 2009 they moved to the Morningside Active Adult Community in Lorain. Lucille credits her longevity to God, living a good life and having a great family and friends. Prior to Covid-19, Lucille attended weekly Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Amherst. She enjoyed weekly Euchre and Ladies Poker at Morningside with her friends. Always smiling and looking for the best in everyone she met, she inspired her family and friends to live life to the fullest. She loved following Cleveland sports: the Browns, Cavs and especially the Indians. She watched every game and was always happy to correct the umpiring staff when she disagreed with their play calls. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Gasho, son James A. Gasho and granddaughter Jennifer R. Huesman. Devoted mother to Linda (Mike) Huesman, Thomas (Virginia) Gasho, Andrew (Lori) Gasho and Rosemary Hund Gasho. Beloved grandmother to Christine Gasho, James (Traci) Gasho, Daniel Huesman, Katherine (Nick) Falco, Tucker Gasho, and Merritt Gasho. Loving great grandmother to Lucy Gasho, Sebastian Huesman, and Lily Falco. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at St Joseph’s Parish, 200 St. Joseph’s Drive, Amherst, OH 44001. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Father Timothy O’Connor, Pastor, will officiate. Private family interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.
