Warren “Jim” J. Canon, Jr., age 60, of Amherst, passed away at his home expectedly after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 23, 1961 in Lorain, where he lived until 1995 when he moved to Amherst. Jim most recently worked for Fritz’s Garage where he was a mechanic and tow truck driver. Prior to this, he worked with his dad for Canon Construction as well as in the steel business for P.C. Campana. When Jim wasn’t working his long hours, he enjoyed watching sports and watching super modified races. He also adored his 2 cats, “Blackie” & “Sissy” and his grand pup, “Brusier.” Jim is survived by his son, Mike, of Amherst, former wife, Pamela, siblings; Jerry Haff, of Springfield, OH, Connie Hammond (nee George), of Lorain, and Lonnie George, of Amherst. He is also survived by his beloved neighbor and friend, Enedelia “Nellie” Trevino. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren J. and Wanda (nee Culberson) Canon. The family will be holding private services. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is assisting the family with arrangements.
