Altagracia Rivera's Obituary
Altagracia Rivera, age 90, of Lorain peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 14, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 2, 1925 in Manati, Puerto Rico and came to Ohio in 1950.
She was a lifetime homemaker, caring selflessly for her children and husband. She enjoyed spending time outside tending to her flowers and plants. Early on she attended Templo Emanuel and recently has attended Church on the North Coast where she greeted all with her friendly smile and a kiss.
Altagracia is survived by her daughters, Aida (Robert) Meredith, Amparo Coleman, Gladys (Michael) Mitcheff; and sons Domingo and Joseph; 19 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 4 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rosario Jose Rivera; son, Valentin Rivera; parents, Petra and Valentin Rivera; granddaughter, Lisa Rodriquez; daughter-in-law, Joan Rivera; eight brothers; and three sisters.
The Rivera family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17th. at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Louis Kayatin, of Church on the North Coast, will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
