Alyce Marquis' Obituary
Alyce Marion Marquis (nee Yost), age 80, of Henrietta Township, expired suddenly on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain, following a very short illness.
Born on February 23, 1931 in Grafton, Ohio, she graduated from Grafton High School in 1949. She worked at Fischer Foods in Elyria until 1956.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling by R.V., having visited 49 states, all of Mexico and most of Canada. They spent their winters for 25 years residing in Rio Grande Valley, TX. Alyce was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed flowers and caring for her cats.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Maynard; her daughter, Patricia (Edmund) Tecza, of Henrietta Township; grandsons Steven (Rose) Tecza and Eric Tecza and a sister, Bonnie Rawson, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ruby Yost, and her sisters Eileen Yost and Mary Fullgrabe.
Her body will be cremated.
The family invites friends to a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12th in Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Chaplain Bob Chevalier of New Life Hospice will officiate.
