Amy Lynn Hopkins' Obituary
Amy Lynn Hopkins (nee Hambly), age 35, of Amherst, passed away peacefully after her courageous battle on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.
She was born on November 24, 1981, in Oberlin, living in Amherst for her entire life. She graduated in 2000 from Marion L. Steele High School. Amy was employed and well-known for her customer service at Northwest Bank, formerly Lorain Nation Bank, where she has been for 13 years. Amy’s passion and devotion to life was her family, which she always enjoyed spending time with, as well as her time spent with her friends. She loved watching her boys play sports and riding around in her Jeep.
Amy will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Aaron, her two sons; Tyler A. and Jackson W., her parents; Joseph and Sharon (nee Williams) Hambly, her brother, Paul Hambly, in-laws; Betsy and Mike Hopkins-Nestor, and her grandmother, Ruth Williams.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Ronald Williams, and Charles and Joan Hambly, and her cousin, Jeff Gula.
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March29, from 4 – 8 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where her funeral service will also be held on Thursday, at 11:00 am. The Rev. Myron Prok, of St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions, in her memory, to go to the Amy Hopkins Memorial Fund, which can be made at any Fifth Third Bank.
