Amy Velazquez's Obituary
Amy Velazquez (nee Arnoczky), age 43, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14th at Mercy Health of Lorain, while in the company of her loving family, after courageously battling cancer.
Amy was born in Oberlin, OH to Frank and Kathy Arnoczky on September 27, 1977. She attended Firelands High School & the Lorain County Joint Vocational School and graduated in 1996. Amy was owner/operator of It’s All in A Day’s Work Cleaning and Organizing. She shared her passion for healthy living as a Nikken Consultant. Previous employment includes Lorain County Sheriff’s Department, Spitzer Auto World, The Morning Journal, and Taco Bell. She is a member of St. Peter’s Parish in Lorain.
Amy enjoyed spending time with her children volunteering at their schools, attending cheer competitions, concerts, playing cards, bowling and anything with a competitive nature. Additional interests included spending time with her cats: Storm and Milo, NASCAR racing, shopping and she was an avid Cleveland sports fan. She was a kindhearted, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt with a generous heart who genuinely enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Victor and her children Christian, Alina, and Nathaniel, her parents Kathy (nee Perichak) Arnoczky of Vermilion, and Frank Arnoczky of Wakeman, Sisters: Kristy (Adam) Culler of Waynesville, Lisa Arnoczky of Amherst, and Judy Arnoczky of Ashland, her mother-in-law Rose Workman and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Rose Marie Perichak of Lorain, paternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara Arnoczky of New London, half-brother Joey Arnoczky.
The family would like to thank the kind nurses, doctors and staff at Mercy Health of Lorain and Mercy New Life Hospice and all others who helped take care of her during this critical time.
