Andre G. Ockajik's Obituary
Andre G. Ockajik, age 65, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 29, 1948 in Linz, Austria to Joseph and Ginette (nee Maury) Ockajik and was a 1967 graduate of Admiral King High School.
Andre worked as a painter for many years at Wagner Sign Company and prior to that was employed by Winkomatic in Avon Lake.
He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, enjoyed animals and really liked going to the different casinos throughout the area.
Andre is survived by his mother, Ginette Ockajik; brothers, Jacques P. (Lisa), of Lorain, James, of Spencer and Robert, of Lorain; sisters, Joseline (Donald) Davidson, of Lorain and Andrea (Victor) Bronish, of Chatham; nieces and nephews, Renee Lampe, Bruce Davidson, Brtittnay Palermo, Rachael Torres, and Sarah Ockajik; great-niece and nephews, Emaleigh Gula, Rocco and Gino Palermo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, in 1997 and brother, Joseph, in 1956.
The Ockajik family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
