Angel L. Lopez Sr.'s Obituary
Angel L. Lopez Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born January 3, 1940, in Lares, Puerto Rico to Primitivo and Bonifacia (Rodriguez) Lopez. In 1952 he and his family moved to Lorain, Ohio.
Angel earned his retirement from Ford Motor Company Avon Facility in 1999. Angel truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends, spending time with his siblings, and caring for his children and grandchildren. Angel had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He never knew a stranger and was loved by anyone that got to know his joyful and giving nature. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Marta (nee Nieves) and sister Gregoria Cardona.
He is survived by his children; daughters, Brunilda Vazquez and Melissa Lopez; sons, Angel Lopez, Luis Antonio (Sheila) Lopez, and Robert (Allison) Lopez; grandchildren, Brittany, Robert, Selina, Luis, Kayla, William, Justin, Gabrielle, Riley, Logan and Victoria; great grandchildren, Noah and Jordan; siblings, Juanita (Jose) Gonzalez, Albert (Noemi) Gonzalez, Carmen (Angel) Lopez, Blanca (Luis) Ortiz, Fatima Serrano, Jose (Migdalia) Gonzalez, Mary (Ray) Santiago, and Baltazal (Iris) Gonzalez; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Angel touched are invited to the Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. following the visitation in the funeral center.
