Angela "Angi" Dawn Borthwick's Obituary
Angela Dawn (nee Wilson) Borthwick, age 43, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by friends and family.
She was born on July 6, 1974 in Oberlin, Ohio and graduated from Keystone High School in 1992. Angi worked for 18 years for Ward Orthodontics as their Business Coordinator. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lorain.
Angi enjoyed attending country music concerts, traveling with family and friends, and working outreach for the homeless shelters. Spending time with her daughters is what Angi loved most.
She is survived by her daughters, Hannah Marie and Grace Elizabeth Borthwick; father, Thomas (Debra) Wilson; sisters, Stacy (nee Wilson) Straw, and Amanda (nee Wilson) Bernard; brother-in-law, Jeff Biro; lifelong friend, Kathy Wolfe; mother-in-law, Marilyn Borthwick; niece, Maggie Straw; nephew, Drew Biro.
Angi was preceded in death by husband of 15 years, David Y. Borthwick, in 2014; mother, Marilyn Jaycox Ross; step-father, Mark Ross; and her father-in-law, David J. Borthwick.
The family would like to give special thanks to Angi’s Fire family at Elyria Fire Fighters Local 474 and the countless friends who were there to comfort both Angi and her girls during this most difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Laurie Miller, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate.
