Anna Bedecs' Obituary
Anna Bedecs (nee Nagy), age 85, of Strongsville, formerly of Lorain, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Southwest Residential Hospice in Strongsville after a brief illness.
Mrs. Bedecs was born on August 16, 1925 in Hegymagas, Hungary to the late Pal and Karolina Nagy. She came to the United States on December 21, 1956 making Lorain, Ohio her home. She and her husband George moved to Strongsville, Ohio in 2004.
Anna was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church from the time she moved to Lorain until its closing. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening especially tending to her flowers and vegetables. She loved being outdoors. Anna and her husband George celebrated 64 years of marriage on August 2, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Anna (George) Sattelmaier, of Strongsville; grandchildren, Anna (Mike) Evans, of Medina, George (Kesha) Sattelmaier, of Maryland and Joseph Sattelmaier, of Strongsville; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Natalie, Collin and Austin; brother-in-law, Istvan Nagy and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pal and Karolin Nagy; sisters, Ilonka, Terus, Mariska, Irenke, Karola and her brother, Pista.
The Bedecs Family will receive family and friends on Monday, August, 30, 2010 from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where closing prayers will be said on Tuesday August 31st. at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain. Rev. James Schmitz, of St. Stephens Church, West Salem, will officiate. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
