Anna F. Boyce's Obituary
Anna F. Boyce, (nee Pittak), age 90, a long time resident of Amherst, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Anchor Lodge Skilled Nursing Facility.
Born on July 24, 1924 in Lorain, to the late Joseph and Helen (nee Straka) Pittak, she graduated from Lorain High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst.
Anna took great pride in being a mother of 6 children and often boasted about it. In her free time, she enjoyed herb and flower gardening.
She is survived by her sons, David Allan (Sue Wood), of Aiken, SC, William George (Sun), of Crestview, FL, John Patrick (Jackie), of Amherst; her daughters, Aileen “Lainie” (Kenneth) Maslinski, of Vermilion, and Patricia Ann (Robert) Hill, of Avon Lake; her grandchildren, Matthew Boyce, Jeffrey Boyce, Steven Boyce, Christina Boyce, Emma Hill, Maxwell Hill, James “Mitch” Maslinski, Christina Maslinski and Angela (Mike) Greszler; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; her son, Phillip; her brothers, Frank, Andrew and Joseph Pittak and her sister, Helen Drabiak.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 30th at a time to be announced.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Anchor Lodge Skilled Nursing Facility, especially to the Second Floor Staff and also to New Life Hospice for the compassion and care given to Anna.
