Annetta Jane Grogg's Obituary
Annetta Jane Grogg (nee Boyce), age 84, of Oberlin, passed away at Welcome Nursing Home, Oberlin, after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 14, 2023.
She was born on November 25, 1938 in New Milton, W. VA then moved to Oberlin in 1967 where she has lived since. Jane enjoyed working at the Oberlin Library for 25 years where she was an integral part of so many lives and it brought her joy being able to share her love of reading with others. She also enjoyed her years of in-home child care, sometimes caring for children from birth until they began to go to school. Through the years, Jane liked to quilt as well as traveling with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Richard Dewayne Grogg, Deborah Kay (Kenny) Phillips, Sharon Ann Vora, Wilda Jane (John) Covault, and Dennis Allen (Lynne) Grogg; grandchildren, Christopher Jarrett Grogg, Dr. Julia Kay Diebol, Gregory Le Angstrom, Lexie Elaine Cook, Bryan Jay Phillips, Buddy Vance, and Anthony Blake Vance; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Schuman.
Annetta was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rondel Blake Grogg; parents, Luther William & Sophie Elaine (Cumpston) Boyce; 2 brothers and 8 sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
