Apryl Lynne Kramp's Obituary
Apryl Lynne Kramp (née Miller), 53, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a brief illness.
Born on September 29, 1972, in Elyria, Ohio, Apryl was the beloved daughter of Mary Lou (née Soloman) Morrison and Larry (Dawn)Miller. She was a 1991 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School and went on to pursue her lifelong calling of caring for others. She earned her nursing degree through Lorain County Community College and dedicated her life to serving her patients with exceptional skill, kindness, and compassion. Throughout her nursing career, she worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital, Amherst Manor, and for the past 20 years in the Emergency Department at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Nursing was more than a profession to Apryl—it was her passion. She found great fulfillment in helping others during some of the most difficult moments of their lives and was admired by her coworkers and deeply appreciated by the countless patients and families she cared for.
Apryl embraced life with enthusiasm and made the most of every moment. She was a member of American Legion Post 118, VFW Post 1662, and Amherst Eagles Aerie 1442. She loved spending sunny days swimming, tending to her beautiful gardens, fishing during the summer months, and ice fishing in the winter. She and her husband shared a love of travel and adventure, especially the thrill of roller coasters. Together they were accomplished dart players, competing in numerous tournaments and earning the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas five times, where they enjoyed both competing and winning. A self-proclaimed foodie, Apryl delighted in discovering new restaurants, trying unique cuisine, and sharing memorable meals with those she loved.
Above all else, Apryl's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother whose world revolved around those she loved most. Her kindness, strength, infectious smile, and generous heart will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 18 years, Manfred Brandon Kramp; her children, Tiffany Bragg, Alyssa Bragg, and Matthew Bragg; her cherished granddaughter, Aleah K.; her mother, Mary Lou Morrison; her father, Larry (Dawn) Miller Sr.; her mother-in-law, Christine Klinect; her step-sister, Nicole Everhart; her sister-in-law, Natalie Velazquez; her brother-in-law, Zack Kramp; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Miller Jr.; and step-father, Robert Morrison.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
