Barbara Gregg's Obituary
Barbara Gregg (nee Glick) passed away suddenly Sunday, April 10, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born on November 15, 1946 in Lorain, Ohio to Harold and Margaret (nee Miller) Glick she was a 1964 graduate of Admiral King High School.
Barbara was a member of the last graduating class of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at various nursing homes and for Lorain Community Hospital and most recently was employed at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain for over the past five years. Nursing was her passion and that passion was evident to all of the patients and families that she cared for.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter’s, Lorain. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and baking. Barbara’s greatest love was her husband, children and granddaughters and nothing brought her greater joy than the time she spent with them. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her for her kindness, compassion and her gentle soul.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, Chris; her children, Chris, of Amherst, Deb (Kevin) Krugman, of Amherst, and Tony, of Amherst; granddaughters, Olivia and Gabrielle Krugman; brother, Karl (Barbara) Glick; and her sister, Katie Weikel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Glick; brother, Fred Glick; and sister, Louise Johnson.
The Gregg family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14th. At 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Chris Robinson, Chaplain of New Life Hospice, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
