Barbara King's Obituary
Barbara J. King (nee Meo), age 77, of Lorain passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 17, 1941 in Elyria, Ohio to Anthony and Josephine (nee Rahrig) Meo.
Barbara was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. She worked as a secretary in the ICU at Elyria Memorial Hospital and as an Executive Secretary in Engineering at CEI from which she retired from.
She enjoyed shopping, fishing with her late husband George, roller skating in her younger years, working on crossword puzzles, and sitting and watching the nature outside from her window. She loved and adored her cat and companion, Maxwell.
Barbara is survived by he daughters, Laura (Terry) Trigalet, and Sandra Stokley; grandchildren, Eric and Collin Trigalet, and Sarah and Travis Tornstrom; and her brother, Anthony (Sandra) Meo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George King; and her parents, Tony and Josephine Meo.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until time of closing prayers and memory sharing at 7:45 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in memory of Barbara to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035, the American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd. N., Cleveland, OH 44131, or to a charity of your choice.
