Barbara Gail Kosanovich's Obituary
Barbara Gail (nee Slocum) Kosanovich, age 69, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Denise’s Adult Care Home in Lorain.
She was born on January 25, 1946 in Fitspatrick, Raleigh County, West Virginia to Walter and Lula (nee Stump) Slocum.
Barbara retired as a teller from Lorain National Bank. She was an active member of the Amvets, holding several board positions over the years. She was an avid bowler and was an active member of St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, working bingo and serving on the church picnic committee.
She is survived by her brother, Dempsey Slocum, of Baltimore, Maryland and sister, Betty Sue (Daryl) Hatcher, of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel on June 12, 2015 and her parents, Walter and Lula Stump.
The Kosanovich family will receive friends on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where Pomen services will be held at 3:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Monday. November 16th. from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Road, Sheffield Village. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery.
