Barbara Macgregor's Obituary
Barbara Macgregor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on July 6, 1936, in Kenton, Ohio, to Arden and Erdeen (nee Rudasill) Thompson. A 1954 graduate of Lorain High School, Barbara built a life grounded in faith, service, and a deep love for her community.
Barbara was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church in Lorain, where she found strength, friendship, and purpose. She enjoyed the art of China painting, creating delicate pieces that reflected her patience and creativity.
Her dedication to the Lorain community was a defining part of her life. She volunteered at Lorain Community Hospital for many years, ultimately serving on its Board of Directors. She also gave generously of her time to the Lorain Palace Civic Center, supporting its mission and activities with enthusiasm. Barbara found great fulfillment in helping others and was always ready to lend a hand or support a worthy cause.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Scott Macgregor of Simi Valley, California, and Robert Douglas Macgregor of Lakewood, Ohio; her grandson, Christopher Macgregor; and her great-grandsons, Maverick and Maddox Macgregor.
The family will receive friends for pastries and coffee on Sunday, December 7, 2025, following the 9:30 a.m. worship service at First Lutheran Church, 1019 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
