Barbara Jean Wyatt's Obituary
Barbara Jean Wyatt, 79, of Elyria, Ohio, entered into Eternal Life while surrounded by loved ones on August 16, 2021.
Barbara was born on March 29, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio to Robert and Mary (nee Caserta) Wyatt and moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her parents in 1958. She moved back to Lorain in 1978 to continue raising her sons.
Barbara worked various jobs at the beginning of her career, and then worked as a payroll clerk at Ridge Tool for over 20 years. Her strong work ethic and sense of humor showed through to everyone she worked with and was evident to her entire family.
Mother of four children and grandmother of six, Barbara adored spending time with and cooking for her family. Even in difficult times, she always made sure her family had a homemade meal and the support they needed; this was true not only for her immediate family, but also for friends and relatives. Her sons and grandchildren continue to aspire to the principles she embodied through her selfless work and generosity. Barbara is revered by her sons and grandchildren as a hero, the matriarch of a large, tight-knit family.
Barbara dedicated her life to her sons, grandchildren, and loved ones. She enjoyed hosting large family gatherings, solving crossword puzzles, listening to country music, and playing with her grand fur-babies.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Cindy Shuster) Ramirez, Vince (Margaret McMillen) Ramirez, Nick (Michelle) Ramirez, and Anthony (Nikole) Ramirez; grandchildren, Paul Ramirez II, Brittany Ramirez, Gianna Stewart, Ashlie Eckenrode, Anthony Ramirez II, and Cole Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Lucas Stewart; and sister, Tina (Dan) Erlandsen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wyatt in 1981; her mother, Mary Wyatt in 2003; her brother, Robert Wyatt Jr. in 2013; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Ramirez in 2005; and former husband, Michael Zeglin in 2015.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10:00 am – until the time of her memorial service at 1:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
