Betty Jane VanAuken's Obituary
Betty Jane VanAuken, 72, of Vermilion, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1953, in Lorain, Ohio to the late Frank and Dorothy Cinci.
Betty was a 1985 graduate of Lorain County Community College, where she earned her degree as a medical assistant. She found joy in life’s quiet pleasures, especially gardening, reading, and crafting. She also had a deep love for animals and was a devoted caretaker to them, always offering shelter and love.
She will be missed by her loving children, Jennifer (Wes) Frampton and Gary (Chante) VanAuken; and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon and Piper Frampton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Lee VanAuken.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
