Billy Key's Obituary
Billy French Key, age 76, of Oberlin, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Ames Family Western Reserve Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born on January 15, 1936 in Jasper, Alabama to the late William and Vera (nee Williams) Key. He married Billie Annette (Brown) on September 4, 1954 and shortly after moved to Mantua, Ohio where they raised their family.
Billy worked at Black and Decker as a plant manager in Solon for 35 years then moved to Hanover, PA where he retired from Cooper Power Tools as Director of Operations.
He was a very loving and caring person with a special personality that touched so many people. He will be missed deeply by family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Tony (Daniella), of Oberlin and Rick L., of Harrisburg, PA; his grandchildren, Anthony Key, Kelly Marino, Katie Key, Kim Key, Christopher Key, William Key, Maryann Key, Nicole Peters, Shawna Graddy, Rachel Hughes, and 14 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary (Bill) Ingram, of Cordova, Alabama.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Billie on February 18, 2012 and his brother, Dan Key.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29th from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst.
