Bonita Kay Harkless' Obituary
Bonita Kay Harkless, age 60, of Lorain passed away suddenly on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 25, 1960, in Lorain, Ohio to Gene and Daisy (nee Kelly) Harkless. Bonita enjoyed reading, playing games on her phone and computer, decorating for the holiday, sewing and flowers. She loved her cats, spoiling her grandchildren and cherished spending time with her family as they were her life.
Bonita is survived by her loving companion of 27 years, David A. Naymik; her children, Angela (Daniel) Gonzalez, Phillip (Erika) Harkless, Heather Harkless, Samantha Harkless, and Kele Harkless; grandchildren, Alyssa Gonzalez, Christopher Oswalt, Kelsee Harkless, Kayla Harkless, Jacob Harkless, Aurea Zambrano, Hunter Harkless, Emmalee Harkless, Elijah Harkless, and Dominic Harkless; great-grandchildren, Xavier Davila and Nadiyah Davila; and her brothers, Bob (Belinda) Harkless, and Jerry Harkless.
She was preceded in death by her twin children, Katie and Kyle Harkless; parents, Gene and Daisy Harkless; and her sister, Tammy Harkless.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Face Mask will be required to be worn in the funeral center.
