She was born on November 16, 1923 in Dickinson County, VA. She grew up and graduated high school in Haysi, VA. Even though she never had the opportunity to make it there, she never missed the Kentucky Derby on tv.
She is survived by her children; Kathryn (Russell) McKnight, of Lorain, Deborah (Lawrence) Alten, of Sheffield Lake, Cheryl (Ronald) Bellottie, of Berlin Heights, Cynthia Hribar, of Sullivan, and Lesa (Shannon) Sommers, of Sullivan, her grandchildren; Joy Nickoli, Jessica Bellottie, Jade Sims, Brian Alten, Christopher Alten, Drew Dillon, Hayley Hribar, and Sam Hribar, great grandchildren; Noah Nickoli, Piper Nickoli, Fisher Sims, Zander Sims, Hunter Alten, Sawyer Alten, and Alivia Alten, and her brother, George Church, Jr.
