Bonnie Hobson's Obituary
Bonnie J. Hobson, age 78, of Westlake, formerly of Lorain passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Westlake.
She was born on August 12, 1934 in Sharon, PA to Raymond and Mary (nee Hanna) Wilcox. She graduated from Sharon High School in 1952.
Bonnie worked as an Archivist and retired in 1997 from Liggett-Stashower Inc. Advertising Agency. She served as the organist at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sheffield Lake from 1970-1978. She was a member of St. Clarence Catholic Church, North Olmsted. She served as secretary for the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland. Bonnie enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She loved all the arts, especially, music and ballet.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harry Edward Hobson; children, John Mark Hobson, of Solon, Richard (Liz) Hobson, of Amherst, Kathi (Chuck) Ference, of Amherst, Lisa (Michael) Bolmeyer, of Lorain, Mary (Tom) Moran, of Amherst and Rebecca (Bill) Zaranko, of Amherst; grandchildren, Brianne Liederbach, of Elyria, Michael Solomon, of Elyria, Colin Christman, of Canton, Jen Christman, of Las Vegas, NV, Ali Moran, of Amherst, Erin Moran, of Amherst, Sarah Bolmeyer, of Lorain, Rachel Bolmeyer, of Lorain, Robert Patton, of Amherst, Harry Patton, of Amherst, Marianne Ference, of Amherst and Riley Zaranko, of Amherst, Ryan (Alison) Hobson, of Cleveland, Beth (Colin) Stipe, of North Olmsted, Kevin Hobson, of Amherst, Tommy Hobson, of Amherst and Chaz Ference, of Amherst; great-grandchildren, Austin Liederbach, of Elyria and Lily Stipe, of North Olmsted.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Hobson-Yarmock; and her parents, Raymond and Mary Wilcox Eddy; brothers, Charles Raymond Wilcox and Robert Wilcox.
The Hobson family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. St. Clarence Catholic Church, 30106 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, OH. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Rev. Fr. Mark Hobson, Pastor of Church of the Resurrection, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
