Brad Dayne Gilgenbach's Obituary
Brad Dayne Gilgenbach passed away at his home in Amherst, on May 21, 2018, at the age of 63, following a long illness.
He graduated from Amherst Marion L. Steel High School in 1972 and went on to become a master pattern maker at his family’s business, Steel City Pattern Company, in Lorain. He also worked at Cascade Pattern Company, in Elyria, for a short period of time. Brad graduated from the Cleveland Electronics Institute.
Brad lived his life his own way. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, computers, working on cars, and just spending time at home.
He is survived by his son, David (Karen) Trottier, of Avon Lake, his brothers; Marc (Patty) Gilgenbach, of Estero, FL, and Jack (Margie) Gilgenbach, of Lorain, his sister, Jean Sears, of Amherst, his nieces, nephews, and the rest of his family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents; Chester and Ashley Gilgenbach and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Sears.
At Brad’s request, no services will be held. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is assisting the family during this time.
