Sorry to hear about the loss of Bruno. A great happy genuine person. Will be missed. Loved his sports and very good at fixing power equipment too.

Diane, So sorry for your loss. One of my fondest memories of grade school at Masson , was when you told the story of your Dad, a firefighter , had delivered a baby the evening before, and your voice was filled with pride. Charlene Yug Clodwick
I worked with Bruno at the LFD for a brief time before he retired, and my late husband Rafael worked with him and played softball with him for years; he was always such a character. I worked with guys who played cards with Bruno and heard the stories of crazy things he did that were hilarious. Grew up next door to the Smigel's and heard Bruno stories long before I ever met him. Most recently, I saw him at an Amherst girl's basketball game, where got teary eyed once again over my husband's passing. Bruno was a memorable character and will be missed. I'm sorry I'm unable to attend the services for the man, the myth, the legend. He was so very proud of his kids and grandkids. My sincere condolences to all of the family and his close friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you for the best of everything. God bless. NOTES: I'm a retired Sports Desk Assistant for the Chronicle and covered some of your games. My late mother embraced Dad's thoughts of wearing out, not sitting around and resting out.
Bruno was such a kind, thoughtful, and welcoming presence in our neighborhood. From the beautifully manicured lawn to the snacks shared, his genuine kindness made our community a better place. His warmth and generosity will never be forgotten.
