Carl Guffey's Obituary
Carl C. Guffey, age 72, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at The Willows at Bellevue following a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of Lorain, he was born on November 3, 1942 to the late John and Marjorie Guffey. He attended Lorain High School. Carl served in the US Navy.
For many years, Carl worked for the Lorain post office as a mail carrier.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain.
He enjoyed cooking, dancing and listening to music.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbie (Russell) Cook , of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Anna Leck, Dustin Leck and Savannah Puder; 1 great-granddaughter, Eloise Puder; and a brother Robert (Lauria) Guffey, of CT.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27th from 5:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Pastor Jimmy Madsen of First Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Ave, Lorain, OH 44052 or Heartland Hospice, 333 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43604.
