Carl S. Harris' Obituary
Carl S. Harris, age 54, of Vermilion (Brownhelm Township), passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
He was born on April 28, 1967 in Lorain, where he lived until moving to Vermilion 12 years ago. Carl is a graduate of Southview High School. For the past 25 years he worked for Concast, in Birmingham, as a foreman/supervisor.
Carl was a proud member of the American Legion Post #397, in Vermilion, where he was active in the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed shooting pool and fixing & building anything and everything that he possibly could. Carl would even be considered as the “ultimate” handyman, not only because he could fix anything, but also because all of his work had to be precisely perfect to his standards. What Carl will be remembered best for though is being a truly selfless man, with a huge heart, always wanting to help everyone and never himself.
He is survived by his wife, who has been the love of his life for the past 25 years, Diane M. (nee Maczulis), son, Austinn, daughters, Karleigh, Jessica, Stephanie, and Allison. He was also beloved “Papa” to Emily, Reagan, Taylor, Lyla, and Reign, son of Frances (nee Cook) Harris, brother of Buford, Jr. (JoAnn), Jerry (Patty), Donald (Julie), and Loretta (Mike). Carl is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Harris.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 12-4 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001. To send an online condolence, please go to www.dovinreberjones.com.
