Carol Harrington's Obituary
Carol Harrington (née Jackson), of Lorain, Ohio, passed away after a long illness on Jan. 1 2022 at age 81. Carol was born in Lakewood, Ohio on Dec. 26, 1940. She graduated from Fairview High School then received her nursing degree from Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland. Following that, she earned her CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists) certification at the Cleveland Clinic. She practiced anesthesia in the Cleveland area for 40 years until retirement. As a lifelong Clevelander, Carol was a loyal Browns and Indians fan and was also a true animal lover. She was happiest when surrounded by family and will be fondly remembered for her sense of style, feisty sense of humor, storytelling and zest for life. Carol is survived by her daughter, Catherine Boutelle and son-in-law Jeffrey Boutelle; her son Gregory Robertson and daughter-in-law Laurie Ray; her grandchildren Claire Boutelle Pius, Andrea Boutelle, Madeline Boutelle and Henry Boutelle; her brother Charles Jackson and sister Beverly J. Martin. She is preceded in death by her husband John Harrington M.D., her parents Charles and Marcella Jackson, and her sister, Patricia Mott. A private memorial service will be held in the Spring.
