Carol A. Karhusz's Obituary
Carol A. Karhusz, (nee Carocci), age 73, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a six month illness.
Born on September 5, 1941 in Buffalo, New York, she came to Lorain during her high school years. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1959B.
For 15 years she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Kenneth McMahon.
Carol loved interior decorating and took great pride in decorating her home.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David; her son, David (Pamela), of Amherst; her daughter, Michele (Martin) Ehasz, of Canton, MI; her grandchildren, Courtney (Johnathan) Brown, Anthony (Megan) Karhusz and Kyle Karhusz; her great-grandchildren, Madeline and Abigail Brown; and her sisters, Rose Marie (Michael) Koscho, of Lorain and Mary Lou Madaras, of Avon Lake.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucy Carocci.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Richard Hudak, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
