Carol Jean Voigt's Obituary
Carol Jean Voigt, 91 years young, of Wakeman, Ohio passed away with grace on November 6, 2025. She was born on May 15, 1934, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Marie (nee Brown) Young.
A devout Christian, devoted wife, and nurturing mother, Carol found her greatest fulfillment in faith and family. Carol is survived by her loving children Donald Ray Partlow (Linda), David Dale Partlow (Diane), Shelley Lee (Snyder), and Cindy Hope Shaffer (Jim); her stepsons Karl Voigt (Kim), Andrew Voigt (Carey), and Eric Voigt; and a treasured legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her days. She is preceded in death by her husband Karl Voigt.
In midlife, Carol courageously returned to school, earning her associate’s degree and proving that it’s never too late to pursue new dreams. With determination and an unshakable work ethic, she helped build two successful businesses with her family—Universal Sandblasting and Painting and Universal Roofing—establishing herself as a respected entrepreneur whose perseverance inspired all who knew her.
Carol’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, resilience, and love—a legacy that will continue to shine through those she leaves behind.
She will be privately laid to rest at McCurdy Cemetery in Beverly, Ohio.
