Carole Dandrea's Obituary
Carole T. Dandrea, age 80, of Lorain, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.
Carole was born on April 27, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Caroline (nee Schneider) Wilhelm. She graduated from Lorain High School.
Carole worked for many years for Style Center in downtown Lorain she later went on to work as a secretary for U.S. Steel for five years before becoming a full time homemaker.
She had a passion for interior design, painting and loved to give her decorating advice and ideas to others. Carole also enjoyed baking.
Carole is survived by her son, Rick Dandrea, of Lorain; grandchildren, Chase (Ashley) Dandrea, of Avon Lake, Kyle Dandrea and Drew Dandrea, both of Lorain; great-grandchild, Gabriel Dandrea; brother, Raymond Wilhelm, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Raymond and Caroline Wilhelm; brother, Robert Wilhelm; sisters, Rosemary Jablonski and Marlene Amato.
The Dandrea family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Pk. Rd., Amherst where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Deacon Luis A. Maldonado, from Mary Mother of God Parish will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
The family suggest contributions be made in her memory to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
