Catherine Marie Campbell's Obituary
Catherine Marie Campbell (nee Banachoski), 78, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at home while under the care of her family.
Catherine was born on May 25, 1944 in Sharpsburg, PA, as the only surviving triplet to Edward and Catherine Banachoski (nee Juran). Catherine dedicated her life to serving her communities as a LPN in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, and Chicago, IL. After working as a LPN for over 60 years, she retired and began to volunteer her time at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland. Catherine was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Falls Church in Olmsted Falls.
On April 30, 1966 she married Raymond P. Campbell, the love of her life. She was the loving mother of Raymond E. (JaneAnne) Campbell, of Oak Park, IL, Dawn (Duke) Gerakis, of Amherst, and Adam (Teri) Campbell, of Huntley, IL and beloved sister of Paula Banachoski. She was cherished by her 10 grandchildren, Amber, Kyle, Jacob, Haylee, Xander, Aiden, Richard, Lizzie, Caden and Nick, as well as 4 great grandchildren. Catherine’s family extends a very special “thank you” to her wonderful caregivers, Gretchen Fullard & Ashley Stanley.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers James “Jimmy” & Edward “Butch” Banachoski, and her sister Joan Panza.
The family will receive friends for a memorial Mass on Friday, December 30th at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Falls Church, 25615 Bagley Road, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138. Rev. Fr. Ryan Cubera, Pastor, will officiate. The family will also be gathering in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sharpsburg, PA for entombment.
