Charles Longworth's Obituary
Charles Longworth, age 52, of Amherst, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Charles was born on August 18, 1957 in Berea, Ohio. He was a former resident of Columbia Station and has been a resident of Amherst for the past 18 years.
He graduated from Columbia High School in 1975. He served in the U.S. National Guard. Charles was employed for 10 years at Invacare in sales.
Charles enjoyed playing the drums and loved baseball.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Rhiannon (Brad) Willis, of West Salem, Ohio; one grandson, Devin; his mother, Joann Edwards, of Valley City, Ohio; sisters, Desta (Ron) Blasius, of Sandusky, Ohio and Debbie (Roger) Martin, of Medina, Ohio; nephew, Christopher Blasius; and his cat, Precious.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Longworth (nee Liwczanyn); father, Thomas Longworth and step-father, Randall Edwards.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 2-5 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where service will be held on Monday December 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Sam Williams, of North Eaton Church of God, Grafton will offiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
