Cheryl Lou Reber's Obituary
Cheryl Lou Reber (nee Harshberger), age 82, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a courageous fight.
Cheryl was born on March 25, 1935 to Robert and Ethel (nee Saladin) Harshberger. She was a 1953 A graduate of Lorain High School. While attending school, Cheryl joined the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, a group that produced for her long lasting friendships. She served as one of the Bank Executives with Central Trust, Bank One, CITIBANK, PNC, and Chase Bank until her retirement.
She was very involved in her son’s lives, from her active role in the PTA and many other activities in their lives. Cheryl was especially involved in their sporting events, such as the baseball team mom and she was a great scorekeeper. She later found great joy watching and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She loved to bake and cook for her family, friends and co-workers.
Cheryl loved to travel to different places; she especially enjoyed traveling to California to spend time with her son, Craig. She truly loved the holidays, especially Christmas; she always had her home decorated for each holiday and welcomed all her friends and family to come and enjoy.
She was a very talented china painter and loved collecting all the Hallmark Christmas ornaments. Cheryl will be truly missed and remembered for her big heart and the love that she shared with everyone.

Cheryl is survived by her sons, Craig Allen Reber, and Kirk Edward Reber; her three grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Ryan, Megan, and Erica Reber; her special friend and sister, Shirley Jackson; and her lifelong friends, Jackie Kerns and Martha Teleha.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edward Joseph Reber, in 2012; son Todd Jeffery Reber, in 2016; parents, Robert and Ethel Harshberger; brother, Robert Harshberger; and her sister, Lois Ann Harshberger.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30th. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
