Christina Russell's Obituary
Christina Russell (nee Bryan), age 72, of Lorain passed away Monday, July 6, 2020. She was born on May 5, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio to John and Dorothy (nee Wittington) Bryan. She was a graduate of Meigs High School in Middleport, Ohio.
Christina worked for 17 years as a cashier for HMS Host Marriott at the Amherst, Ohio Turnpike Plaza. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, word searches and spending time with her grandchildren. Christina was an “Absolute Gem” to everyone.
She is survived by her son, Ronald W. (Jackie) Russell Jr., of Lorain; daughters, Melissa (Albert) Rector, of Lorain, and Rhonda (Joe) Arendt, of Lorain; grandchildren, Amanda (fiancée, Angelicia), Alexis (fiancé, Mike) and Austin (Shannon) Arendt, Cole Rector (Jordan), and Hayley and Audra Russell; brother, Danny (Mary) Bryan; and her grand puppies, Rizzo, Spencer, Oakley, Baker, Jaxson, Scout, Molly, and Harley.
Christina was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald W. Russell Sr., in 2018; parents, John and Dorothy Bryan; brothers, Ted, Tom, and Albert Bryan; and her sisters, Dottie Scarberry and Norma Kay Bryan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Services will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Private family interment will take place at a later date.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. We encourage all visitors to wear face covering, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
