Christine M Camarillo's Obituary
Christine Marie Camarillo, age 50, of Amherst, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
She was born on July 27, 1968 to Roland & Patricia (nee Cullinan) Camarillo, in Amherst, where she lived her entire life. She is a 1987 graduate of Amherst Marion L. Steele High School, where she rightfully held the title of Homecoming Queen. After high school graduation, she proceeded to go to the Sandusky School of Practical Nursing, where she received her license to practice nursing. In 2018 she received her Associates degree from Bryant & Stratton College in Paralegal Studies. Christine lovingly devoted 30 years of her life to being a nurse. She possessed strong religious beliefs and was a devout member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain. Christine touched many lives.
Her family was always the most important to her. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, going to concerts, and of course watching the Cleveland Browns with a passion.
Christine is going to be dearly missed by her daughter, Sarah M. Winrod, her beloved grandson, Daniel Brunner, her fiancé, Eric Diedrick, her former husband, Lawrence Winrod, her siblings; Jill (Cary) Leblang, Karen (Daniel) Schemmel, and Stephen (Molly) Camarillo, and her 7 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Domingo & Josephine Camarillo, and Patrick V. & Eleanor Cullinan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing Prayers will be held on Friday, January 25th. at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Rev. Father Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
