Clara Lou Guggenbiller's Obituary
Clara Lou Guggenbiller (nee Buckreis), age 79, of Lorain passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was born on July 1, 1935 in Berea, Ohio to Edward and Wilma (nee Hales) Buckreis.
Clara was retired from Northern Savings and Loan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking weekend bus trips and watching game shows on television. She was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, formerly St. John Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles; her children, Deborah (Chuck) Sutz, Edward (Melody), Janet (Robert) Caraballo, Barbara (Michael) Tomko, Jon (Nancy), all of Lorain and Robert (Rose), of Toledo; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Wilma Buckreis; and an infant great-granddaughter, Sawyer Olivia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Monday, February 9th. at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Rev. Fr. John Retar, Pastor, will officiate. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Clara to the Sawyer Olivia Tanhueco Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank, account number 01472786061. This would be Clara’s wish.
