Coletta Mary Doud's Obituary
Coletta M. Doud, 85, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her family, on September 8, 2025. Born and raised in Cleveland, Coletta was a proud graduate of St. Joseph Academy and went on to earn her nursing degree from St. Joseph School of Nursing. She dedicated her life to caring for others, serving as a lifelong nurse at St. Joseph Hospital until her retirement. After her years in Lorain, she spent 16 memorable years in Florida before returning home.
A devout Catholic, Coletta was a faithful parishioner and lived her faith with quiet strength and compassion. She was an avid golfer, a lifelong traveler who embraced new experiences, and a devoted grandmother who cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Coletta also had a close-knit group of friends with whom she shared many fun and joyful years, creating memories that brought her endless happiness.
Coletta is survived by her loving children Michael Doud (Enrique Solis) and David Doud (Lisa); grandchildren Crystal Hamilton, Chad Doud (Stacy), DJ Doud (Brittany), and Cody Doud (Kyle); and great-grandchildren Randy, Austin, Braxton, Aubree, and Brantley. She is also survived by her brother Raymond “Butch” Warmuth, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken Doud; her son Greg Doud; and her brothers John, Bob, Bill, and Jim Warmuth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035. Coletta will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Avon, Ohio, at a later date.
