Corrine Banjoff's Obituary
Corrine Banjoff (nee Orlando), age 78, of Amherst passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on July 9, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to Michael and Mildred Orlando and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. Upon her graduation from high school she went on to Cosmetology School.
Corrine made her career as a beautician. She worked at a salon at Pier W and in the 1960’s opened up her own salon called Corrine’s Styling Salon. After closing her salon she worked at the salon at Higbee’s. Upon her retirement as a beautician, Corrine worked as a food demonstrator at Sam’s Club.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. She enjoyed Walleye fishing, bingo and especially loved baking with her daughters.
Corrine is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert J. Banjoff; daughters, Crystal Soto and Cheryl White, both of Lorain; step-son, Edward Hall, of Wakeman; grandson, Alexander Soto; and step-grandson, Trevor Hall; and her brother, Patrick Orlando, of North Olmsted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mildred Orlando.
The Banjoff family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be said at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 13th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, OH. Rev. Fr. Michael Denk, will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in memory of Corrine to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
