Dale Costin's Obituary
Dale Costin, 70, went to be with his Lord on October 22, 2021. Dale gave in death as he gave in life: he was an organ and tissue donor. Dale’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Everyone who knew him was touched by his willingness to help. He could fix absolutely anything. He dedicated his life to helping people. He was happiest taking apart things to see how they worked.
He worked at US Steel in Lorain as a millwright for over 40 years. He was enjoying his retirement time with his grandchildren, Parker and Paige. He cherished his time with family. Dale married the love of his life, Barbara (nee Parker) and would have been married 50 years on October 23, 2021.
Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Jeffrey (Melissa); daughter, April; mother-in-law, Irene Parker; and his grandchildren, Parker and Paige.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Pastor Jason Russ of Church of the Open Door will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made in memory of Dale to Harvest for Hunger, 5510 Baumhart Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.
