Dale Edward Nott's Obituary
Dale Edward Nott, 86, a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Autumn Aegis.
Dale dedicated his life to his work as an auto mechanic, a trade he took great pride in. He began his career working alongside his brother in the family garage and later continued at Llewellyn Pontiac, now known as Joyce Buick, where he remained until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skill, Dale was respected by colleagues and customers alike.
Outside of work, Dale was a devoted Cleveland sports fan. He faithfully followed the Cavaliers and the Guardians and was a proud season ticket holder for the Cleveland Browns. He also cherished time spent traveling with his beloved wife, Ruth, especially camping and enjoying the outdoors.
Dale was never one to sit still. He loved to stay busy—tinkering, building, and fixing things. A talented craftsman, he found joy in working with his hands. He enjoyed swimming, caring for his yard, and riding his tractor, taking pride in maintaining his home and surroundings.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Nott and Joanne Nott; and his brothers, Hugh Nott and Mac Nott.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Marie Nott; his parents, Charles and Etha Nott; and his siblings, Charles Trifiletti, Richard Trifiletti, Charles Nott, Lillian Suits, June Jenkins, Wuanita “Dea” Martin, Jeanette Bozsoki, Tony Trifiletti, and Jean Brennan.
Private funeral services were conducted under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
